The project Snapshots aim to highlight and profile innovative projects building infrastructure to use electronic clinical data to conduct research and quality improvement to improve patient outcomes.
Submission Criteria:
The project must be using data initially generated from an electronic health record (EHR) or electronic medical record (EMR) for clinical purposes, which is then transformed and linked to other databases to conduct a research and/or QI project.
Completed forms that meet the submission criteria stated above (i.e., focus on linking electronic clinical data across healthcare settings; data types, etc.) will be published. EDM Forum staff will review the content for clarity, spelling/grammar, and consistency; however, it is the responsibility of the submitter to ensure that the content and descriptions are complete and accurate to allow for rapid publishing of the Project Snapshot. Staff will follow up with authors via email to ensure the provenance of the submitted material is authentic.
